Chiropractic
Medical expertise in the musculoskeletal system and its relationship with the nervous system.
Chiropractic is one of the five academic medical professions recognized in Switzerland under the LPmed (Federal Law on Medical Professions).
Chiropractors are experts in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system and their impact on the nervous system function and general health.
Our approach
Each session begins with a comprehensive clinical assessment, including a review of medical history, an orthopaedic and neurological examination, and—if needed—the prescription of imaging or medication.
Treatment is based on precise chiropractic adjustments to restore mobility, reduce tension and support better neuro-musculoskeletal communication.
Personalised advice complements the care plan to optimise recovery and help prevent recurrence.

Dr Laura Ponnaz
Chiropractic Assistant
Member: ASC · ACGE · ECU
Laura Ponnaz put on her first judo gi at the age of four and competed in the sport until she was eighteen. Over those years, her curiosity and interest in how the body works and in human physiology steadily grew. During her first year of medicine at the University of Lausanne (UNIL) in 2016, she was able to name that interest—and discovered chiropractic.
With discipline and determination, Laura continued her medical studies, specialising in chiropractic. During her studies, she gained clinical experience in hospital settings, including the chiropractic department at CHUV in Lausanne and the Pain Centre at Kremlin-Bicêtre in Paris. She also became involved in humanitarian work, taking part in a mission to Senegal in June 2022 with the Kheir d’Afrik charity. Passionate about sport and performance, she additionally pursued specialist training in athlete care at Université Paris-Saclay.
Dr Ponnaz obtained her Swiss Federal Diploma in Chiropractic in 2023.
During an internship with Dr. Zurkirch, Laura discovered the holistic approach offered by the MAZ Clinic. Sharing our vision, it was only natural that she should join the MAZ Clinic team to continue her post-graduate training in September 2023.
