Osteopathy

A holistic, hands-on therapy aimed at restoring mobility and balance across the body’s systems.

Osteopathy focuses on restrictions in mobility — whether articular, muscular, visceral or fascial — and how they interact with the digestive, nervous, ENT, urogenital and lymphatic systems.
It aims to identify the functional cause of imbalance in order to support the body’s return to balance.

Our approach

Each consultation begins with a detailed case history, followed by clinical and osteopathic assessment. Treatment may include gentle mobilisation, targeted pressure and precise techniques, depending on your needs.
The goal: long-term relief and a clear understanding of the root cause of your symptoms.

Bastien Alvarez

Osteopath
OsteoSwiss member, Dipl. CDS

Bastien Alvarez has always been fascinated by biomechanics and the workings of the human body, so he naturally turned to osteopathy, a discipline that combines scientific rigor, listening to the patient and a global manual approach.

Trained at the Collège Ostéopathique de Strasbourg, he practiced for several years in an osteopathic clinic in Geneva, where he acquired solid experience in the management of acute pain. This practice in an emergency consultation context enabled him to develop a reactive, precise approach adapted to recent disorders.

In 2023, he obtained his Swiss Federal Diploma in Osteopathy (CDS), and set up his own business in 2024.

In 2025, Bastien Alvarez joined the MAZ Clinic’s multidisciplinary team. His treatment focuses on musculoskeletal disorders, in particular acute spinal pain (low back pain, dorsalgia, cervicalgia). He mainly uses structural, myotensive and functional techniques, always chosen according to the needs and sensitivity of each patient.

Bastien attaches great importance to listening, movement analysis and quality follow-up. He regularly pursues further training, notably in sports osteopathy and functional rehabilitation.
